Westpac Charity Sports
Stars Breakfast - February - Hurstville Oval
Sponsored by Westpac Bank,
Lugarno Lions together with Local Member Kevin Greene and St George community
leader, Phil Bates, ran a St George Sports Stars
Breakfast at Hurstville Oval in February and raised $15,000 for local charities,
Carinya School, Learning Links,Pole Depot and Peakhurst High School. Our special guests included Ken Rosewall,Graeme Langlands,Garry Sutton,Albie Thomas,Steve Edge,Wayne Riley,Murray Bennett,Warren Saunders,Graham Seers, Wayne Turley and Glenn Wheeler
A sumptuous
breakfast was provided and we thank Leo and Merren Rutishauser from Stapleton's
restaurant for their huge effort on the day. We also thank
Sydney Markets Lions, who donated the food for the breakfast and Kingsgrove Sports, Z&Z Jewellers, Bates Bikes and Manly Pacific for their generous donations to our auction.

Lugarno Lions and
Mortdale Community Services Annual Trivia Night
Lugarno Lions annual Trivia Night to raise funds for Mortdale Community Services (formerly
Georges River Community Services) was held at Penshurst RSL in February. The night was a major success with
over 200 guests in attendance and
a good time was had by all.
Not
only did everyone have a good time but we raised over $7,000 on the night!
